Henry Coe State Park's land becomes visible on the distant hilltops at the centre of the photo.

Henry Coe is the second-largest State Park in California at about 87,000 acres (Anza-Borrego near San Diego is the largest).

The land at the top of these distant hilltops is just the beginning of the park, which extends far back into the steep ridges and canyons of the backcountry beyond.
